Welcome to April Showers & New Beginnings

Hello and welcome!

As spring arrives, bringing fresh energy and longer days, I’m so happy to share this month’s news with you. April always feels like a time of renewal—and this year, there’s lots to celebrate.

Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who came to my recent solo exhibitions. It meant so much to share my portrait series of Disabled activists —people who have fought for vital changes to make transport accessible for all. Your support, conversations, and encouragement truly mean the world to me.

Filling in the Gaps: A Story to Share

Let me introduce my Great Auntie Ettie, who lived to the incredible age of 111.

Aunt Ettie was instrumental in campaigning for Dial-a-Ride in the 1980s, helping improve transport access for disabled people.

Her favourite saying?

“Don’t let the bastards get you down.”

Words to live by.

Filling in the Gaps: Upcoming Solo Shows

I’m excited to share that this body of work will continue to be exhibited this year at the following venues:

  • The Tram Shed, Woolwich – July to September, 2026
    (including an artist talk)
  • Southwark Archives – October 1 to December 31, 2026

Each show will explore a slightly different focus within the series—more details coming soon!

Filling in the Gaps: In the News

Filling in the Gaps has been featured by the Jewish Chronicle, FAD Magazine (Top Five Exhibitions by Women Artists, International Women's Day), Jewish Telegraph, SW Londoner, Elysium Lifestyle Magazine, Estila Magazine, Disability Arts Online, Marylebone Journal, The Londonist, Wellbeing News and more.

Art, Resistance & the World Around Us

The world can feel overwhelming at times. Through my work, I try to respond, reflect, and remember.

Four years ago, I painted works inspired by the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement following the death of Mahsa (Jina) Amini. Those themes remain deeply relevant today — freedom, expression, and the courage to resist oppression.

Art can’t change everything but it can bear witness.

Exhibition News

Big News! I have been Shortlisted for the RA Summer Show…I’m thrilled to share that one of my paintings has been shortlisted for the RA Summer Exhibition!

Out of over 16,000 submissions, this feels incredibly special. The piece was created from a place of deep emotion in an attempt to hold onto humanity in the face of helplessness. Please keep everything crossed 🤞for the next stage.
