So, how am I going to light your fire this November?
From Day of the Dead Parade, Columbia Rd London 1 November. Remembering those we have lost and loved...
Well, think Judy Garland, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” and that magical line: “That’s where you’ll find me.” Here’s where you’ll find me (and my art!) this month, as always sparking creativity, storytelling, and maybe even a few fireworks of inspiration along the way.
Proud Moment ING Discerning Eye
I’m thrilled to share that my artwork “Sink” has been selected for the free ING Discerning Eye Exhibition!
My piece, as the title hints, explores the many meanings of sink... or perhaps swim? What will it be?

A Spark of History “Remember, Remember the 5th of November”
You might recall this rhyme from V for Vendetta, but it actually dates back to 1605 — the Gunpowder Plot, celebrating its failure with bonfires, fireworks, and effigies of Guy Fawkes.
As a child, I remember the excitement, pushing our homemade “Guys” around in old prams, collecting pennies for fireworks, and gathering as whole streets for a night of laughter, baked potatoes, sausages and smoky skies.
But beyond the fireworks, this season connects to older traditions like Samhain, Halloween, and Día de los Muertos — all marking the turn of the seasons and our journey into winter’s reflective light.
In the Studio
Between shows, I’ll be diving into new work, developing pieces for a 2027 exhibition in New York! These explore isolation, integration, and what it means to find balance again after disruption. It’s a long journey — but as every artist knows, vision takes time.
